Glendale toy drive still accepting donations this week

Deadline to help spread cheer is Dec. 17

Members of the Glendale Fire Department, Glendale Firefighter Charities and Glendale City Council are taking part in a toy shopping spree this week.

For the past few weeks all have collected money and supplies, and at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15 at Target, 10404 N. 43rd Ave., in Glendale, they will be shopping for children in need of some holiday cheer. The kids for whom they are shopping put together a list of their “wants,” which means our shoppers know exactly what to buy for them.

Residents wishing to help the cause can donate new, unwrapped toys until Friday, Dec. 17 at any Glendale Fire Station.
