Glendale to launch new live music series in April

Live! @ Murphy Park hosts tunes every weekend

Music across multiple genres, plus comedy and other entertainment is queued up on Downtown Glendale’s playlist this April, with the launch of a new series, called Live! @ Murphy Park.

Throughout the month of April, 6-8 p.m. each Thursday through Sunday, free musical performances will take place at the E. Lowell Rogers Amphitheatre, 5850 W. Glendale Ave., Glendale.

Local and regional acts will take the stage. The park is the perfect setting for music, with room to dance under the stars or barefoot in the grass.

There is no charge for the concert and free parking is available in two nearby structures. Before or after the show, visitors are invited to explore the shops and restaurants throughout the downtown area.

  • Friday, April 3: Black Beards Delight (90s and 00s rock/R&B)
  • Saturday, April 4: Young Country (country)
  • Sunday, April 5: Barrio Latino (contemporary Latin)
  • Thursday, April 9: Josh West Trio (variety/rock)
  • Friday, April 10: The Sugar Thieves (blues Americana)
  • Saturday, April 11: Garth Tribute Live (Garth Brooks tribute)
  • Sunday, April 12: First United Methodist Church of Glendale–Echoes of Praise & Chancel Choir (contemporary choral)
  • Thursday, April 16: Chuck Hall Band (blues)
  • Friday, April 17: Mogollon (southern rock/country)
  • Saturday, April 18: Marmalade Skies (Beatles tribute)
  • Sunday, April 19: Walt Richardson (world/reggae/folk)
  • Thursday, April 23: Blaine Long & Rosas del Rey (rock/blues/country)
  • Friday, April 24: Rock Lobster (80s rock)
  • Saturday, April 25: Shallow Water (ska/rock)
