Many services and opportunities for veterans are coming to Glendale.
The 9th Annual Glendale Stand Up for Veterans event takes place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 at Arizona Christian University, 1 W. Firestorm Way. The opening ceremony is at 7:45 a.m.
The day will feature courts and government assistance for veterans, medical assistance, on-site employers and a hiring event, MVD and social services for veterans and their families, legal help with court reps and attorneys, free haircuts and free lunch for veterans, active military and their families, and more than 50 veteran service organizations.
