Glendale teachers among those honored by Educational Foundation

Two Glendale teachers were among those honored in this month's Arizona Educational Foundation Teacher of the Year ceremony.
While Lynette Stant from Salt River Elementary School in Scottsdale earned 2020 AEF Arizona Teacher of the Year honors, other educators were recognized for excellence at the event.
Sheila Rowe, a 6th grade English Language Arts Teacher at Coyote Ridge Elementary School, 7677 W. Bethany Home Road, Glendale, was among four finalists honored as AEF Arizona Ambassadors for Excellence.
Also, Jessica Buttles, kindergarten and Structured English Immersion Teacher at Sunburst Elementary School, 14218 N. 47th Ave., Glendale, was among five exceptional semifinalists honored.
Next year’s Arizona Teacher of the Year Awards will take place Oct. 23, 2020.
