Glendale senior living facility to offer COVID vaccinations

Glencroft Center for Modern Aging will host an on-site vaccination clinic June 14, 15 and 16 to bring critically needed COVID-19 vaccinations to residents and the local community who might not be able to travel remotely to get vaccinated.

Glencroft, located at 8611 N. 67th Ave., in Glendale, is partnering with Embry Health to facilitate and manage the vaccine clinic. Each day, 125 doses of the Moderna vaccine will be administered.

Follow-up appointments for a second dose, as needed, will also be scheduled.

“Simply, we want to bring vaccines to our residents and the local community who might otherwise not be able to get vaccinated,” Michelle Houser, director of marketing at Providence Place, a nursing facility at its Glendale campus, stated in a news release.

The vaccination clinic will include complimentary food and beverages. Besides the partnership with Embry Health, Glencroft is working closely with the Arizona Department of Health Services to spread the word about the clinic and provide additional support.

“This is the right thing to do,” adds Scott McClintock, chief strategy officer at Glencroft. “We have seen great success in vaccinating the majority of our residents and employees and this clinic will help continue this effort.”
