Sierra Verde Elementary School, 7241 W. Rose Garden Lane, Glendale, will host an outdoor celebration for Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.

Activities include a beekeeper demonstration and honey display, holiday craft and activities, a Shofar workshop, and Challah Baking. The event begins at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 5.

Cost is $18 per family.
