BIG BAND GRANDSTAND: 1-3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3. Foothills Library. Musicians who can sight read charts are encouraged to sign-up, and everyone else is invited to attend rehearsals as part of an audience.  Bring own music stands and instruments.

MONDAY NIGHT MELODIES: 6-7:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3. Foothills Library. ARTIST PRESENTATION CELEBRATING BLACK HISTORY: MALAKAI JOHNSON: 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4. Glendale Main Library. Malakai Johnson, Director, Visual Activist, Philanthropist, presents award-winning film: SOULS, a visual exhibition, photographic art & and film installation that captures the totality of mortality, blackness, and Afro futurism.

SECRET BOOK BOXES: 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5. Foothills Library. Hang out and learn how to make a one-of-a-kind treasure box from a book. Ages: 12-18 years old

Learn about the science behind how Kratom works in the body and its potential for adverse effects, as well as recent research on Kratom and how the drug is regulated within the US.

SPIRIT TALK: MESSAGES AND INTUITIVE GUIDANCE: 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26. Foothills Library. Psychic medium Sunny Dawn Johnston will connect with the Spirit realm, receiving inspiring and motivating messages and intuitive guidance from angels, spirit guides, and loved ones. Participants will have the opportunity to ask one question each for mini-readings as time permits, with the additional benefit of learning from others’ experiences and guidance.

LIVE AT THE LIBRARY: DRIFTWOOD QUINTET PRESENTS “LIFT EVERY VOICE”: 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27. Glendale Main Library. Driftwood Quintet explores the influences and compositional styles of a variety of black composers throughout classical music history. Beginning in the 18th century, examine the music stylings of Afro-French composer Le Chevalier de Saint Georges to Romantic Era composers with works of Florence Price.
