Glendale city offices closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day

City of Glendale offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, but many services will still be available.

Bus services in Glendale will operate on a regular schedule on Jan. 20. Glendale Urban Shuttle 1 bus service will operate on a regular schedule on the holiday but  GUS routes 2 and 3will not run that day. The Glendale MicroTransit (Dial-A-Ride) office are closed on Jan. 20 and rides will be offered on Martin Luther King Jr. Day but reservations for them must be made by noon Jan. 17.

ADA service will not be impacted by the holiday. There will be no Express/RAPID bus service on Jan. 20. To learn about Glendale’s public transportation schedules and routes, visit Public Transportation - City of Glendale.

Residential garbage and recycling collection will take place on a normal schedule on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. However, the Glendale Municipal Landfill will be closed to the public on Jan. 20. Glendale’s recreation and community centers will be closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, as will the city’s libraries.

Visit Glendale administrative offices and Visitor Center will be closed on Jan. 20.

The Glendale Regional Airport and the terminal building are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The terminal will be open on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, as it is every day, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for access to restrooms. However, the administrative office at the airport will be closed on Jan. 20.
