Glendale City Hall, libraries closed Labor Day; no change to trash service

City of Glendale offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day.

The Glendale Municipal Landfill will be closed to the public Monday, but there are no additional changes to Glendale solid waste services. For more information on Glendale Solid Waste Management, visit www.glendaleaz.com/trash_recycling or call 623- 930-2660.

Glendale’s public library branches and the Glendale Visitor Center will be closed Monday. For trip planning assistance or questions about traveling to Glendale during the holiday weekend, visit www.VisitGlendale.com.

Glendale Foothills Recreation and Aquatics Center will not be open during the Labor Day weekend. For more information about the Foothills Recreation and Aquatics Center, call 623-930-4600 or visit www.glendaleaz.com/foothillsrec.

Dial-A-Ride reservations for Monday should be made by noon Friday, Sept. 4. There will be no same-day service on Labor Day. ADA service will be available Monday and will be based on a Sunday fixed route schedule.

In Glendale’s GUS Bus services, only GUS 1 will operate on Labor Day on a Sunday schedule. Valley Metro buses and Light Rail will also operate on a Sunday schedule on Labor Day.

While Glendale Municipal Airport operations will remain open, the airport administration office will be closed.
