Glendale author releases Christmas-themed children’s book
Posted
A Glendale author has published her second offering - a children’s picture book that takes place on Christmas Eve.
“The Night Baafore Christmas,” written by Dawn Young and illustrated by Pablo Pino, tells the story of when the main character, Bo, can’t sleep on Christmas Eve. When he starts counting sheep, the sheep get a glimpse of the Christmas goodies and wreak holiday mayhem all over the house.
Ms. Young, a mechanical engineer and STEM-story writer, has lived in Glendale for 29 years.
She graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and later from the University of Phoenix with an MBA. For years, she worked as an engineer and then as a manager at a large aerospace company until her creative side called her to pursue her dream of writing children’s books.
Ms. Young is planning to release three new books in 2021.
