Posted
Independent Newsmedia
A memorial fundraiser will benefit a man who was shot and killed during a parking dispute at Westgate.
Tyler Michael Wilson, 31, was killed Jan. 29 near 95th and Glendale avenues.
Glendale police said he was a passenger in a vehicle that was trying to back into a parking space while another vehicle was approaching. Mr. Wilson got into an argument with the other vehicle’s driver, who then shot Mr. Wilson and fled.
Mr. Wilson was an employee of Purgatory Industries, an auto shop in Avondale. Police continue to look for the alleged shooter.
A fundraiser is 4 p.m. Saturday at Mixteca, 6731 W. Bell Road. A GoFundMe for Mr. Wilson has raised over $7,000. Anyone with information on the shooting can call 623-930-3000 or 480-948-6377.
