Former Glendale hospital exec promoted to Abrazo Central CEO

Omar Pineda, MSN, RN, previously the Chief Operating Officer at Abrazo Arrowhead Campus, 18701 N. 67th Ave., Glendale, is the new chief executive officer for Abrazo Central Campus and Abrazo Mesa Hospital.

As CEO, Pineda is responsible for hospital administration and strategy, building positive staff and physician relationships, quality management and patient satisfaction.

“Our hospitals have great momentum for an outstanding future,” Pineda stated in a news release. “I look forward to working closely with our physicians, staff and board and collaborating with our community to provide care and improve health in the North Central Phoenix area.”

While COO at Abrazo Arrowhead Campus, Pineda was instrumental in developing hospital programs, guiding development of Abrazo’s Surprise and Cave Creek microhospitals, and providing leadership during pandemic surges.
