'Code Workshop' coming to GCC

Glendale Community College will host Jan. 21

An upcoming “Anyone Can Code Workshop” at Glendale Community College, 6000 W. Olive Ave., will discuss how teaching code with Apple’s Swift Programing Language and curriculum can introduce elementary and middle school students to the world of coding through interactive puzzles, playful characters and activities.

Attendees will learn about the following:

  • iOS app development classes being offered at local colleges
  • Dual enrollment opportunities
  • AP courses
  • Certification
  • Industry demand
  • How to bring this free curriculum to your school

The workshop is 3:30-5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, and is sponsored by Apple.
