The Glendale Police Department will be hosting a car seat checkup event this Saturday.
The event goes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 at Heroes Regional Park, 6101 N. 83rd Ave. Surprise Police Department and Phoenix Children’s will be partnering with Glendale PD.
The event is held to educate parents and caregivers about the proper ways to transport children safely using child safety seats and seat belts. The purpose of a child safety seat check is to focus on appropriate child restraint selection and proper installation.
As a test to insure the knowledge and capabilities of a parent/caregiver, they are requested to perform the final installation of the child safety seat in the vehicle before leaving the event.
