Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley is inviting youth to experience The Great Summer Exploration at summer with camps that will be offered at a reduced cost to families.

The summer camps take place from May through early August for those between the ages of 5 and 18. For youth members (5-12), the biweekly program cost will be $40, $60 or $80 depending on the club. Teens (between the ages of 13 and 18) can attend for free with annual membership.

Glendale is home to two branches: the Swift Kids Branch, located at 6420 W. Maryland Ave.; and the Louis & Elizabeth Sands Branch, 4730 W. Grovers Ave.

With programs in the arts, sciences, sports and more, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley summer camp is a positive and fun way for youth to spend their summer months. They will develop meaningful relationships with peers and adults while participating in activities that build healthy lifestyles, academic success, and good character and leadership.

A nutritious breakfast and lunch, along with healthy snacks, will be offered to all members.

Clubs are open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. to accommodate working parents.

“This is an opportunity for kids to have fun with a purpose while forging healthy relationships and experiencing new adventures in a Boys & Girls Club,” Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley President and CEO Marcia Mintz shared in a news release.

Registration is open for current club members and will open to non-members on Thursday, April 20.
