Blues great Carvin Jones planning Glendale show

Valley icon coming to Tributes

Posted

Blues guitarist Carvin Jones will bring his sounds to Glendale next month.

The virtuoso performs 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Tributes, 18561 N. 59th Ave.

The Valley legend was voted one of the 50 greatest blues guitarists of all-time by Guitarist Magazine. He plays in the style of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix and B.B. King, and famously had Eric Clapton utter, “Carvin Jones is a young cat out of Phoenix who I think is the next up-and-coming blues player.”

Tributes is a restaurant/live entertainment dinner venue  in northwest Glendale in the Arrowhead district.

Tickets start at $23 and are available here.
