A partner to the Mountain Ridge High School National Academy Foundation Advisory Board in Glendale has earned a prestigious honor.

The Association of Career and Technical Education Academy Division recognized Susan Bugbee, manager of construction administration and project controls at Aero Automatic Sprinkler Company in Phoenix, as the ACTE National Business Partner of the Year for the Academy Division. The award celebrates contributions of individuals who demonstrate exceptional commitment and leadership in advancing career and technical education (CTE).

Bugbee has shared her expertise and provided guidance to ensure that Mountain Ridge students are well prepared for the workforce, according to a news release. She has hired several high school interns over the years, providing them with invaluable experience and setting them on the path to success.

Bugbee has dedicated herself to mentoring young women who aspire to follow in her footsteps while shattering stereotypes, proving that women can excel in any field they choose.

"Winning the ACTE National Business Partner of the Year award is truly an honor," Bugbee shared in a statement. "I am passionate about helping young women break into the construction industry, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such dedicated partners who share my vision."

The Academy of Entrepreneurship at Mountain Ridge High School helps students embark on a career-focused journey. Embedded within the CTE course offerings, the academy creates future businessowners.
