Abrazo Arrowhead Campus in Glendale is celebrating the unveiling of the hospital’s new, multimillion-dollar Cardiac and Electrophysiology Suite.

Abrazo Arrowhead employees and doctors recently got an exclusive first-look preview of the hospital’s new treatment area for heart patients. The new equipment increases the hospital’s capacity for diagnosing and treating a wide array of heart problems.

The new Cardiac and EP Suite will accommodate minimally invasive procedures such as balloon angioplasty, stents, heart rhythm device placement and more. Hospital leaders, including physicians and governing board members, participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony in the new cardiac catheterization lab, the first phase of the $3.6 million Cardiac and EP Suite project.

“We are opening our brand new cath and EP suite with the latest technology that we could invest in for cardiovascular care,” Abrazo Arrowhead Campus CEO Stephen Garner shared in a statement. “I’d like to thank everyone for their support for these improvements to provide advanced technology and health resources for our community.”

Abrazo’s Arrowhead Campus, which has served Glendale and the northwest Valley since 1988, is located at 18701 N. 67th Ave.

The Arrowhead Campus offers a wide spectrum of advanced procedures for cardiovascular care. The hospital was named among Arizona’s Top 5 hospitals in the U.S. News & World Report 2022-2023 Best Hospitals.

Abrazo Arrowhead Campus earned U.S. News High Performing ratings in eight adult procedures and conditions: abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, heart attack, heart failure, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, kidney failure, stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and pneumonia.
