3 Glendale students earn high honors in online exhibition

Three Glendale students placed among the top finishers in the recently-completed West Valley Arts Council Student Online Exhibition.
Soraya Cortes Coria of Independence High School, 6602 N. 75th Ave., Glendale, placed second overall with “When Darkness Falls” in photography.
Third place went to Kayden Luby of Ironwood High School, 6051 W. Sweetwater Ave., Glendale, for “Unconventional Unification,” a work in charcoal on paper.
Marvin Shaoul of Glendale Community College, 6000 W. Olive Ave., earned Honorable Mention for “Golden Hour Rihanna.”
The exhibition was open to all students 13-21 years old. All artwork juried into the exhibition are is welcome – but not required – to be for sale.
The West Valley Arts Council is located at 16126 N. Civic Center Plaza, Suite 102, Surprise. A West Valley Arts Members Exhibit is currently being exhibited through Friday, July 10.
