2 Glendale teachers among AEF Teacher of the Year finalists

The Arizona Education Foundation has included two Glendale teachers among those being considered for the 2020 Arizona Teacher of the Year.
Among the five finalists, called “Ambassadors for Excellence,” is Sheila Rowe, a 6th grade English Language arts teacher at Coyote Ridge Elementary School, 7677 W. Bethany Home Road, in the Glendale Elementary School District.
One of the Ambassadors will go on to be named the 2020 Arizona Teacher of the Year at the Teacher of the Year at the Awards Luncheon Thursday, Oct. 24.
Five semi-finalists were also named, among them Jessica Buttles, kindergarten and Structured English immersion teacher at Sunburst Elementary School, 14218 N. 47th Ave., in the Washington Elementary School District.
