2 COVID vaccine events coming to Glendale

GCC to host September opportunities

Glendale Community College will be hosting two events providing COVID-19 vaccinations this month on its main campus.

Vaccines will be available from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both Wednesday, Sept. 22, and Tuesday, Sept. 28, inside the Student Union on the campus located at 6000 W. Olive Ave.

This event is free and open to the public. Walk-ups are welcome, and no appointment is necessary. Insurance and ID are not required. The One Community Initiative will be providing the Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.

All individuals 18 and older are eligible for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. All children 12-17 are eligible for the Pfizer vaccine.

GCC students who present a GCC student ID when getting the vaccine will get a $50 gift card for Fry’s or Safeway.
