Glendale police are investigating after a man was shot and killed.

Around 10 a.m. Friday, Glendale police responded to a shooting in the area of 69th Avenue and Utopia Road, just south of Loop 101.

Officers arrived and found a man with a gunshot wound outside of a residence. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police said other people inside the residence were not harmed.

The shooter left the area in a vehicle and was known to the victim. Police said they likely won’t provide any suspect description until they have exhausted all leads to make an arrest.

Detectives are assuming the investigation and next of kin notifications need to be made before police can provide any additional information.

Anyone with information on the case can call 623-930-3000 or 480-948-6377. If an emergency, call 911.
