The KAPOW! Superhero Adventure Run, a family-friendly fun run with more than 20 playful obstacles for parents and their little superheros to tackle, will be held March 22 at Freestone Park in Gilbert.
Waves start every 15 minutes, beginning at 8 a.m., with the last wave at 10 a.m. — giving participants plenty of time to finish before obstacles close at 11 a.m. No runners will be permitted to start the race after 10:15 a.m.
Runners are encouraged to wear their favorite superhero costumes and dress the part.
In addition to the course, particpants can explore Gilbert'sGotham City with free activities, superhero guest appearances, music and more.
Participants will get a free superhero gift at packet pick-up (while supplies last) and a celebratory medal when you finish.
Registration will be required for everyone participating on the obstacles. Save $10 and register early!
The last day to register is March 20 by 6 p.m. No on-site registration will be available or accepted day-of. Cost is $35 plus tax.
Children under 8 must run with a paid adult participant. Children under 3 may attend the event, but may not participate on the obstacles. Tickets are valid for single-day entry only and are nonrefundable.
Packet pickup is required for all participants to obtain race entry bracelet (to be worn the day of the event), superhero/race-themed giveaway items and other run information. Pickup will be between 2-5:45 p.m. March 19-20 at the Gilbert Parks and Recreation Office, 90 E. Civic Center Drive Gilbert.
