The board and audience watched and heard a solo Kung Fu presentation and a solo Mandarin recitation from younger students. That was followed by a martial arts dance presentation by Hamilton High School students and a K-Pop performance from Casteel High School.
A staff report states that the presentation was to help recognize the heritage of students, administrators, teachers, and staff.
CUSD’s Tarwater Elementary School has the district's only Mandarin Dual Language Immersion, or DLI, program, which serves more than 200 students in grades K–6.
