The Willow Canyon High School varisty cheer team recently won the smaller school 2021 CoEd Small Varsity Show Cheer Advanced USA Spirit National Championship.

This group of athletes competed against several teams, including the seven-time defending champions, in a two-day competition. The 2021 USA Spirit competition was virtual and winners were announced May 2 after several months of video submissions.

Valley Vista High School cheer won the co-ed varsity show cheer intermediate division at the 2021 USA Spirit & Dance Virtual National Championships. The Monsoon also finished in third place in the group stunt competition.

The Dysart High School Spiritline finished in second place place performance in the co-ed varsity show cheer non-tumbling advanced category at USA Nationals.

USA Nationals began in 1986, bringing together competitors across cheerleading, song/pom, mascot, dance and pep flag. For 35 years USA Nationals has grown to include USA Spirit Nationals, USA Dance Nationals and USA Jr. Nationals. This year, all three national events went virtual allowing teams take the USA Nationals stage from anywhere.
