Three elected to Florence chamber board

Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce

Three seats on the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce board have been filled with two new members and a returning one.

Gina Corrieri and Keith Rea are joining the board for the first time, while Rita Ann Ezzai has been reelected to a second term. The three will serve a term from 2025 to 2028.

Corrieri has more than 35 years in the banking industry, with experience in various facets of branch operations including sales and marketing, investment and loans, fraud investigation and quality assurance.  She recently moved to Arizona from Broomfield, Colorado.

“Since coming to Arizona … I have developed a passion for Florence. I have served on many chambers and nonprofit boards during my professional career. In addition to being a banker in the middle of this career, I owned a martial arts school,” Corrieri stated in a chamber press release. “Having owned a small business gives me an understanding of the challenges business owners face. I believe that my management and leadership skills will be a value add to the chamber.”

Rita Ann Ezzai is the director of public relations for the Florence Unified School District. She serves as the past president of the Florence Rotary, a member of the Coolidge/Florence Elks Lodge No. 2350, and a steering committee member for the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce Women in Business initiative. She is also the president-elect of the Arizona School Public Relations Association.

“My role enables me to collaborate closely with community and district stakeholders, forming relationships that benefit both our students and local businesses by providing valuable workforce solutions,” Ezzai stated in the release. “As an active advocate within Florence, I am committed to supporting our local economy and strengthening the ties between our schools and the business community. “

In her current chamber work, she spearheads the "shop local" project that promotes the town's businesses.

Keith Rea and his family have lived in Florence for the past 16 years. He owns and operates a barbershop on historic Main Street with his oldest son called The Chop Shop. He also owns an events company, Five20 Events LLC, which is active in the events industry throughout Pinal County.

Rea is also the director and president of a 501(c)3 charitable nonprofit, Five20 Music Foundation Inc., which hands out free musical instruments to Pinal County’s youth and gets them free lessons.

“I’ve been a member of the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce for the past five years and look forward to helping shape the direction of our chamber for the years to come,” Rea said.

Corrieri, Keith Rea and Ezzai join continuing board members Michael Baca, Kari Bradley, Sophie Dessart, Justin Ecenbarger and Shelley Robinson.

This has been a year of major change for the chamber. In July, long-time executive director Rogier Biede resigned. Paul Felker was hired for the post in October.
