Superstition Mountain Museum closing temporarily

Posted

The Board of Directors of the Superstition Mountain Museum have announced that the museum will close to the public for the next several weeks.

In an abundance of caution and concern for public safety during the COVID-19 outbreak, the board has canceled most of the public programing and closed the exhibit areas on the Superstition Mountain Museum campus at 4087 N. Apache Trail (Highway 88) near Apache Junction, according to a release.

The Desert Safety and Survival Class scheduled for 9 a.m.-noon March 28 will still be held.

The Navajo Weaving Workshop Class scheduled for 9 a.m.-1 p.m. March 28 has been rescheduled to April 25-26. There are some openings left.

All other scheduled programs through April 9 have been cancelled including stamp-mill demonstrations, lectures, concerts, Arts and Crafts on the Patio, and Smithsonian Museum Day.

Questions may be directed to the museum by email at communications@superstitionmountainmuseum.org or by calling the museum office at 480-983-4888.
