Road closure set for Florence on Sunday

Posted

Copper Basin Railroad is set to start Phase 2 of its railroad track reconstruction project.

From Sunday through Thursday, Dec. 8, Arizona Farms Road will be closed from Hunt Highway to North Attaway Road.

North Attaway Road will remain open to allow for northbound travel from Arizona Farms Road.

On Dec. 5, Copper Basin Railroad completed Phase 1 of the reconstruction project and Felix Road was reopened to traffic.

These upgrades are expected to improve safety and create smoother crossings for drivers.

“While this is not a town project, it may significantly impact local travel,” the town stated in a post on its Facebook page.

For more information on the railroad track-related closures, call Copper Basin Railroad at 520-356-7730.
