Richard Trujillo

Posted
Richard, age 76, went to be with our Lord on May 24, 2020, with his beloved wife Nancy by his side. Richard was born to Alfredo and Erlinda Trujillo in Sheridan, WI on November 19, 1943. He had 5 brothers and 3 sisters. He attended Mississippi State while proudly serving in the United States Air Force. He retired with the designation of Master Sargent, after more than 20 years. Most of his adult life was spent in Texas, Arkansas, and Arizona. After the military, he became an accomplished cosmetologist. He loved being a hairstylist and believed everyone had the right to be and feel beautiful. During this time, he also gained his credentials to be an Assembly of God minister. He served as Deacon, Youth Pastor, and in Prison Ministry throughout the years. “Brother T” as he was affectionately called, touched many lives while on this earth. He was a kind and generous man, always willing to help those in need without hesitation. He and wife Nancy took in many people into their home through the years, serving as surrogate parents and/or mentors to those who had no place else to turn. He always had a smile on his face and encouraging words to share, instantly making others feel comfortable and loved. Richard is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nancy Ann and three children Richard, Deborah, and Cary; grandchildren Brandon and Richard “Duke”, Alina, Aaron, and Marissa; great-grandchildren Haylie, Micah, Zayden, Anila, Tiago, Zariah, Axel, and Delilah; brother Ernest, sister Elizabeth, and “beloved brother” of the 5 Petty Sisters. Richard attended the Church of the Nazarene in Sun City, AZ. Memorial service TBD.
