Pinal County treasurer elected president of Arizona Association of Counties

Pinal County Treasurer Michael McCord has been elected to be the president of the board of directors of the Arizona Association of Counties.

“I am excited and appreciate the opportunity to serve in my new role as president of the association. I see this is a great honor to be selected to represent not just Pinal County, but all counties in Arizona,” McCord, who served as vice president of the association for the past two years, said in a release.

The association was founded in 1968 and represents all county officials and the government they serve in the state of Arizona. It advances issues with the state and federal government, improves the public understanding of the county government, assists counties in finding and sharing innovative solutions through education and research, and provides value-added services to save counties and taxpayers money, the release states.
