The Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce has hired a new executive director

The chamber’s board of directors announced on Monday that Paul Felker, formerly of Casa Grande Valley Newspapers, will now be heading the organization.

Felker replaces Roger Biede who resigned in July. Felker’s first day on the job will be Monday, Oct. 28.

“Paul looks forward to leading a chamber that will boost sales and significantly improve the Greater Florence business’ visibility and credibility,” according a press release from the chamber. “Paul brings a wealth of experience in customer service, marketing and business, most recently at Casa Grande Valley Newspapers.”

Felker earned an Associate of Arts Degree from Northern Wyoming Community, then studied journalism, broadcasting and business at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming.

The chamber’s offices are located at MacFarland State Historic Park, 24 Ruggles St.
