Florence Fright Fest 2024 is almost here, and the town is pulling out all the stops to make the night fun, safe and convenient.
Fright Fest takes place from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Thursday on Historic Downtown Main Street.
This year’s event will feature:
• More than 30 decorated trunks along Main Street filled with candy;
• Touch-a-Truck big rigs for the kids at Arriola Square, 190 N. Main St.;
• Inflatable bounce houses at Padilla Park, 420 N. Quartz St.;
• Food and merchandise vendors on Sixth and Main streets;
• Costume contests with prizes on Eighth Street;
• Spooky green screen Halloween photos at Casa de Baca Studios, 315 N. Main St.;
• Rec Yard games on Tenth and Main streets;
• Haunted gingerbread house contest.
The town is adjusting some of its operation hours for Halloween and Fright Fest.
Town offices will be closed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for an employee function. The Viney Jones Library & Community Center will open at 1 p.m. and will close at 5 p.m. so employees can also enjoy Fright Fest fun.
As always, Florence has prepared a parking guide for the event.
Those coming from the north are asked to use the Main Street extension and park in lots 1-4. For those traveling from the south, the town recommends parking in lots 5 or 6 before parking on side streets.
Attendees must avoid blocking private driveways or access points.
