Fun Summer Activities at Pinal County Historical Museum

Posted

The Pinal County Historical Museum (PCHS) is turning itself into a destination spot this summer.

For June and July, the museum will offer new summer hours, according to a press release. The museum and gift shop will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or by appointment; the museum will be closed the month of August and will resume normal hours (Tuesday-Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.) on Sept 1.

Bring the entire family to the museum this summer. It will have many family-friendly activities, including a scavenger hunt, museum bingo, a local geology activity, a desert animals’ activity and a children’s reading nook.

Learn more about Florence’s history on the scavenger hunt and museum bingo. Explore Arizona’s rich natural history in the local geology and desert animals’ activities. The museum will rotate these activities throughout the summer. There is no admission charge for children ages 18 and younger ($7 admission fee per adult).

Beat the heat and stop by the museum this summer to explore local history, take part in fun kids’ activities and browse the gift shop.

Founded in 1958, the PCHS Museum is the oldest historical organization in Pinal County. The museum preserves Florence and Pinal County’s rich history through exhibits and educational programming.

Additionally, the museum houses a large and diverse research collection from which exhibitions and programs are created, as well as opportunities for academic and community-based research. Serving 5,000 visitors annually, PCHS Museum is considered an economic asset to Florence.
