Florence postpones public outreach on noise ordinance changes

Community outreach efforts to gather public input on proposed changes to Florence's noise ordinance has been postponed.
At its Sept. 18 meeting, the Florence Town Council discussed the proposed changes and voted to table the issue in order to collect more input from the community.
The outreach period was scheduled to begin on Sept. 22. However, the noise ordinance amendment issue was moved to the town’s second council meeting in October, -- Oct. 16 -- causing the postponement in the outreach period, according to a post on the town’s Facebook page.
“Once the revised noise ordinance has been finalized, we will provide ample opportunity for the public to review and provide input on the proposed changes,” the post stated.
