The Florence Police Department has made an arrest in connection with a weekend shooting incident.
The arrest was made at 10 a.m., Wednesday in the Sunday shooting near the intersection of Hunt Highway and Highway 79.
The incident began in the Box Canyon off-road area east of Florence and involved a utility-task vehicle driver and two individuals on dirt bikes.
The Florence Police Department is not releasing details of the shooting, including how many people have been arrested or information on any injuries.
"While this remains an active and ongoing investigation, the Florence Police Department would like to thank our community and public safety partners for their support," according to a statement from police
