Florence employees honored for Veterans Day

Town of Florence employees who have served in the nation’s armed forces were honored at a special ceremony on Friday to commemorate Veterans Day.

“Colleagues joined at Veterans Plaza to show respect and gratitude for their dedication, strength and sacrifice, with inspiring remarks from Town Manager Bruce Walls, a veteran himself,” according to a Facebook post.

The following employees were recognized:

  • Enrique Amarillas – Police, U.S. Army
  • Robert Anderson – Fire, U.S. Army and National Guard
  • Don Campbell – Police, U.S. Navy
  • Daniel Cisco – Public Works, U.S. Navy
  • Jennifer Evans – Administration, U.S. Navy and Navy Reserves
  • Bradley Gribble – Fire, U.S. Army Cavalry
  • Michael Harrison – Fire, U.S. Navy
  • Adrian Lagunas – Public Works, U.S. Army Reserves
  • Sean Mahoney – Fire, U.S. Marines
  • Jose “Mo” Maldonado – Council Member, U.S. Air Force
  • Steven Martinez – Police, U.S. Army
  • Marcos Ornelas – Police, U.S. Army
  • Talmadge “Nathan” Robinette – Public Works, U.S. Navy
  • Lawrence “Alex” Short – Fire, U.S. Marines
