Expect heavy traffic to Country Thunder 2025

The annual mega-country music festival Country Thunder takes place this week in Florence and the area is bracing itself for thousands of attendees from throughout the Valley and Pinal County.

Country Thunder 2025 runs April 10-13 at Canyon Moon Ranch, 20585 E. Water Way in Florence.

The Florence Police Department is working with the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office and the Arizona Department of Transportation to alleviate traffic congestion during the event.

Heavy traffic is expected to start on Wednesday and last through next Monday as campers to the site of the festival come and go.

Traffic congestion will take place on State Route 79 between East Arizona Farms Road and East Cactus Forest Road. There will also be heavy traffic on East Hunt Highway and East Highway 287 leading into Florence, according to a statement from the Florence Police Department.

“We are advising commuters to use alternative routes and plan accordingly,” the statement continued. “There will be traffic enforcement conducted during this event. Our goal is to alleviate congestion safely and as efficiently as possible.”

Country Thunder 2025 will feature headliners Keith Urban, Riley Green, Hardy, and Bailey Zimmerman.

Other acts scheduled to perform include The Kentucky Headhunters, Tucker Wetmore, Sara Evans, Ashley McBryde, Jake Owen and more.

Area band Tater Hogansongs will also be on stage after winning the Battle of the Bands at Saturday’s Road to Country Thunder in Florence, the concert that acts as a precursor to the larger festival.

Tickets for Country Thunder 2025 start at $166 per person, per day for general admission and up to $738 per person depending on the VIP experience weekend package. VIP packages can be purchased for the entire weekend or per day. There are also charges for camping, parking and shuttle service.
