EPCOR: We’re here to help you

Posted

With many people still facing financial difficulties related to the coronavirus pandemic, it’s good to know there are programs available to help in 2021. My team and I have seen some of the ways the pandemic has impacted our water and wastewater service customers in Arizona.

In 2020, the Arizona Corporation Commission approved our request to establish a COVID-19 bill relief program. Initially set up to sunset by the end of last year, EPCOR has extended this opportunity into this year to help those most affected.

Residential customers who have lost jobs or have needed to be hospitalized because of the pandemic can receive a $10 discount on their monthly water and wastewater bills. Customers eligible for our COVID hardship assistance program and who receive both services — water and wastewater — from EPCOR can get both discounts for a total credit of $20 monthly.

The program is open in all EPCOR’s Arizona service areas, including our new San Tan water and wastewater districts, formerly served by Johnson Utilities.

The bill credit program is completely confidential and does not impact customers’ credit scores. We also have payment plans and other assistance arrangements for veterans, deployed military members and low-income customers who may not qualify for the COVID-19 bill credit.

I encourage all customers who could use a little extra help with bills to contact us. More information about all these options is available by contacting EPCOR at 1-800-383-0834 or by visiting epcor.com. Our Customer Care team is ready to help.
