The public is invited to attend a special workshop at Central Arizona College examining the issues along the U.S.-Mexico border

CAC's Social and Behavioral Sciences Workshop Series presents, “Road to the White House: Immigration and the Borderlands,” starting at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Signal Peak Campus, 8470 N. Overfield Road, Room 1400, in Coolidge.

“There are few topics more front and center in America's political discourse than our tension at  the border,” CAC stated on its Facebook page. “Hear from Borderlands professors from Arizona State University, Eileen Diaz McConnell  and  lrasema Coronado, about the history and complexity of this topic, as well  as where we can develop potential solutions.”

Past workshops have covered topics such as illegal drug abuse, disabilities and gender communications.
