Beveridge: Why we chose to again temporarily close resource center at Empowerment Systems

Posted

Once again, we have chosen to make the difficult decision to temporarily close the resource center and have all Empowerment Systems staff work from home.

As much as we want to remain open for our clients, the health of our staff, families and community members is a priority. As always, regular communication through email and social media will continue. We also have signage on our doors listing useful resources.

Again, this is a tough decision but a responsible one. For the safety of ourselves, families and community, it needs to happen.

Our target date for reopening the resource center and returning to the office is TBD. Thank you for your understanding.

Our decision really comes down to the safety of our employees and families, and the safety of the community.

Although we have safety procedures in place at our office that align with CDC workplace recommendations, the increase in COVID cases throughout Arizona has prompted a greater response.

Fortunately, we have the ability to work from home and continue to provide services to our resource center clients via phone and email.

We will reopen when the case numbers decrease and we feel it is safe to do so.
