Philip A. Macy, 89, slipped the bonds of earth on January 18, 2020 in Sun City West, AZ. He was a former resident of Tipp City, OH and also Brookville, OH. He moved to Arizona in 1995.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Roy Macy and Constance M. Macy.

Phil was a graduate of Tippecanoe High School in 1948 and a graduate from Miami Jacobs Business College in 1950.

After many years working in a family business, Macy’s Service Station, he was employed at Monroe Federal Savings & Loan in Tipp City, OH. In 1968, he went to work for the Brookville Building & Saving Association in Brookville OH.

In 1993, he retired as their Managing Officer & President of the Board. Phil’s other endeavors included: six years with the Ohio National Guard, a Lifetime Member of Associated Locksmiths of America, and a Lifetime Membership with the American Rabbit Breeder’s Association.

Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Arlene M. (Stahl) Macy; children, Philip Mark Macy (Tonda), of Troy, OH, and Karen Sue (Macy) Hartman of Spanish Fork, UT; grandchildren: Rachel Larsen (Jesse), Rebecca Hartman (Ryan Smith) of Bigfork, MO, and Geoffrey Hartman (Jessica) of Spanish Fork, UT; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services are pending for Tipp City Ohio services & burial.
