Janet Francis Kiltz

Janet, 82, of Sun City West, AZ, passed away peacefully surrounded by family members at her home on December 14, 2019. She was born in 1937 in Fond du Lac, WI, the daughter of Ansgar and Angeline Wagner. She was a graduate of Saint Mary Springs Academy in Fond du Lac, WI. In 1962, she married Edward E. Kiltz. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2012. Janet was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Sun City West, Arizona.

Janet and her husband lived in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin for 40 years. Janet was a loving, dedicated wife and mother. She loved spending time watching her four children play in athletic competitions and was an avid fan. Janet’s children were the pride and joy of her life. Janet was also a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays. She was also employed at the American Bowling Congress in Greenfield, WI for 13 years.

After retirement, she and her husband, Edward E. Kiltz, moved to Sun City West, AZ where she enjoyed vacationing in Sedona, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. When not with grandchildren, she enjoyed traveling with her husband.

Janet loved going to Badger football games in Madison, WI, bowling in various competitive leagues where she won numerous awards, and spending time with family and friends, particularly at Lake MacDonald in Eagle River, WI and at Lake Winnebago in Fond du Lac, WI. Janet will always be remembered for her love and commitment to her family, and for her deep faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

Survivors include: her husband, Edward E. Kiltz of Sun City West, AZ; three sons: Edward A. Kiltz of Phoenix, AZ, Gary Kiltz, PhD of Greendale, WI, and Michael Kiltz of Sun City West, AZ, and one daughter, Linda (Don) Kiltz-Zimmerman PhD of Kalispell, MT; 3 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren, two sisters, one brother, one brother in law, and one sister in law, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Janet will be missed by all but not forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother in law, William McGalloway, step grandchild, Kenneth Zimmerman, and great grandchild, Jack Ray.

The family wishes to thank Janet’s family and friends who called and prayed for her during her valiant struggle with lung cancer. They also want to thank all of those who cared for her during her last days, particularly her son, Michael Kiltz.

A memorial service was held on December 27, 2019 at Camino del Sol Funeral Chapel, Sun City West, Arizona.
