UPDATE: GPD reported on its Facebook page that the young woman in the video has been found safe. No additional details were available.

The Goodyear Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a vehicle involved in a potential crime early Saturday morning.

On 07/25/2020 at approximately 0200 hours, the Goodyear Police Department was contacted by a local business regarding a suspicious incident that occurred in front of their building and was captured on their security cameras on the 500 block of N. Litchfield Road just south of Interstate 10.

In the video, a female, possibly Hispanic, was seen walking along North Litchfield Road as a vehicle followed her while traveling through the business parking lot.

A male driver exited the vehicle, approached the female on the sidewalk, grabbed her from behind, lifting her off the ground as she resisted him. The male carried the female to the vehicle and placed her in the front passenger seat, then drove away.

The vehicle appeared to be a black 4-door hatchback, unknown make or model.

Anyone with information about the incident, or who can identify the year, make or model of the vehicle pictured, is asked to call the Goodyear Police Department’s toll-free tip line at 833-468-3615.
