Goodyear announces temporary trash, recycling changes

Posted

Beginning Wednesday, April 1, the city of Goodyear’s sanitation provider, Right Away Disposal, will temporarily collect curbside trash and recycling containers at the same time with the same truck in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance limiting the number of workers and types of manual handling of recycled items in RAD’s recycling facility.

Pickup times may shift, a city press release stated, but residents are asked to continue putting containers out by 6 a.m. on designated pickup days.

Overstuffed containers and trash placed next to them will not be picked up since this requires staff to have contact with the contents as they manually load the overflow in the truck, the release stated.

Monthly bulk pickup is not impacted by these changes.
