Buckeye’s Summer Reading Program launches June 1

Buckeye’s Summer Reading Program runs Monday, June 1 to Friday, July 31 at both branches -- Buckeye Public Library, 310 N. 6th St., and the Coyote Branch, 21699 W. Yuma Road, Suite 116, Buckeye -- or at the Roadrunner Bookmobile.
Although slightly modified this year, the Summer Reading Program still offers a variety of ways to continue reading, learning and having fun earning points towards great prizes including a free book and rewards from local, participating restaurants.
Participants can pick up a “Grab and Go” Summer Reading Kit, which includes eight weeks of family activities to earn points with:
STEAM based activities
Recommended reading lists for all ages
Links and resources
Free children’s book
To earn points, just register and log points at read20az.com.
Grab and Go kits are available June 1 at both libraries through the library’s “No Contact” pickup service, 8-10 a.m. Monday through Friday, and at scheduled Roadrunner Bookmobile stops.
The “Imagine Your Story” Summer Reading Program is a collaborative effort by the Friends of the Buckeye Public Library, the Arizona State Library and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
The Roadrunner Bookmobile is available for residents to return items, check out items, place hold requests, or get a library card at any bookmobile stop.
One stop will be 9-10 a.m. Thursday, June 25 at Festival Sage Rec Center, 26501 W. Desert Vista Blvd., Buckeye, and the other will be 10:30-11 a.m. Thursday, June 25 at Tartesso Community Park, E. Tartesso Parkway, Buckeye.
