Hiring now
ALDI has begun the hiring process for positions ranging from store associates to store managers at its new Phoenix-area stores. To apply, visit careers.aldi.us/PHOENIX.
ALDI, one of the largest grocery store chains in the country, is coming to Goodyear.
The 12,000-square-foot store now under construction at 845 N. Estrella Parkway is one of four ALDI stores scheduled to open across the Valley this fall. The others are in Chandler, Gilbert and Peoria.
“We are thrilled to have one of “America’s Best Large Employers” as a partner in our continued growth and success,” Mayor Georgia Lord said in a statement. “ALDI’s seamless and unique shopping experience delivers high-quality products at an incredible value — making ingredients more accessible, and bringing job opportunities to many Arizona communities. Thank you, ALDI, for choosing Goodyear!”
ALDI, known for its low-priced groceries, has 2,000 stores in 36 states, and has been planning further expansion in western states since 2016, according to a July 21 release. After opening its first California stores four years ago, more than 75 locations soon followed.
As one of America’s fastest-growing retailers, ALDI is on pace to become the third-largest grocer by store count by the end of 2022, the release stated. Arizona, it’s 37th market, is a key component of this expansion effort.
“We are incredibly excited to open our first stores in Arizona and introduce millions of new shoppers to the most affordable grocery shopping experience,” said Tom Cindel, Moreno Valley Group director of operations and logistics for ALDI. “Beyond our commitment to always provide the freshest groceries at the lowest prices, we are proud to create job opportunities for residents. ALDI is known as an employer of choice with market-leading wages and benefits, and we look forward to adding the best and brightest Arizona talent to our local ALDI team.”
The four new ALDI Arizona stores will create 90 new jobs in the area, with 15 to 20 of those employees working in the Goodyear store, Mr. Cindel stated.
