Overnight lane closures on Interstate 10 near Chandler, Phoenix begin Oct. 21.

Drivers who travel Interstate 10 near Chandler --- along the Gila River Indian Community --- and in central Phoenix should plan for overnight lane closures while Arizona Department of Transportation crews are scheduled to install overhead signs and pavement markings.

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the following restrictions are in place:

  • Westbound I-10 will be narrowed to one lane (left lane closed) between Gasline and Nelson roads from 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22. 
  • Westbound I-10 will be narrowed to one lane (left lane closed) between Goodyear and Riggs roads from 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23. 
  • Westbound I-10 will be narrowed to one lane (left two lanes closed) between Queen Creek Road and Wild Horse Pass Boulevard from 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, to 5 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24. 
  • Westbound I-10 will be narrowed to two lanes (HOV and left two lanes closed) between State Route 51 and Central Avenue from 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, to 5 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25. 
  • Westbound I-10 will be narrowed to two lanes (HOV and left two lanes closed) between Central Avenue and Interstate 17 from 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, to 5 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. 
  • Westbound I-10 will be narrowed to two lanes (right three lanes closed) between Grand Avenue and I-17 and eastbound
    I-10 will be narrowed to two lanes (right three lanes closed) between 10th Street and State Route 51 from 9 p.m. Saturday,
    Oct. 26, to 5 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 27. 

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other
unforeseen factors.
