Mesa woman faces drug charges in 3 separate cases

A Mesa woman is facing charges in connection to the sale of methamphetamine.

Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced Trisha Lynn Weaver, 34, was charged with conspiracy, illegally conducting an enterprise, and possession of a dangerous drug for sale.

Detectives from the Tempe Police Department and the Arizona Attorney General’s Office arrested her June 9 after she allegedly received and then transported 3 pounds of meth from a supplier. When contacted by law enforcement, she ran but was quickly arrested.

Investigators purportedly located 3 pounds of meth concealed in a potato chip bag in the vehicle the woman drove. She was seen previously with the chip bag while entering the car.

She is currently being held in a Maricopa County jail without bond as this is her third arrest involving possession of drugs for sale.

The defendant faces similar charges in a separate case in 2019, when she allegedly had over 1 pound of meth, 100 fentanyl pills, and over 40 grams of heroin along with packaging materials. She was arrested again in December, when detectives purportedly found almost 13 pounds of methamphetamine in her backpack. Prior to her second arrest, the defendant fled in a vehicle while being pursued by law enforcement.

She has pleaded not guilty to the alleged charges in all cases and will appear in court for an initial pretrial conference July 30.
