Los Sombreros opens third location in Mesa at Dobson and Southern

Independent Newsmedia
Los Sombreros has announced the opening of a third location in Mesa at 1976 W. Southern Ave, at the northeast corner of Dobson and Southern.
The new restaurant is offering curbside pickup and in-house delivery, while the owners complete an extensive interior renovation of the 3,879-square-foot building that formerly housed La Casa De Juana. Dine-in service is expected to begin later this month, according to a release.
“Our new Mesa restaurant will truly be the flagship for Los Sombreros,” owner Kurt Riske said in the release. “In the near term, we’re excited to offer takeout of our popular cuisine and of course, our famous Steve-a-Rita margaritas to the East Valley.”
Co-owner Colleen Riske adds, “Longer term, we can’t wait to activate the interior space, providing an ideal place to enjoy friends and family and celebrate life’s special moments together. That’s what Los Sombreros has always meant to us, and we can’t wait to share that with families in the area.”
The Mesa location of Los Sombreros has been renovated and reimagined by Meredith Smyth Design Studio, which handled the interior design of the Los Sombreros Uptown Phoenix location, which opened in late 2019. The eclectic design is showcased throughout the two levels of the restaurant, the release states.
The menu will showcase the authentic central Mexican cuisine and signature dishes Los Sombreros has become known for, including Pollo con Espinacas, Camarones al Tequila, Puerco en Mole Verde and Carnitas.
Los Sombreros Mesa offers in-house delivery within a 7-mile radius and curbside pickup options. Orders can be placed by calling 480-597-5978. Delivery is free for orders of $25 or more. There is a $3 fee for orders less than $25. Go to lossombreros.com.
