Loop 101 Price Freeway restrictions scheduled for diamond grinding, lane striping

The northbound Loop 101 Price Freeway in the East Valley will be closed or restricted at times this week for improvements, including diamond grinding of concrete pavement and lane striping, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Drivers should allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes while the following restrictions are in place:
Northbound Loop 101 is to be narrowed to right two lanes overnight between U.S. Highway 60 Superstition Freeway and Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, to 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7.
Northbound Loop 101 closed between Loop 202 Santan Freeway and Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10. Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) ramps to northbound Loop 101 are to be closed, US60 ramps to northbound Loop 101 closed, northbound Loop 101 ramps to Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway closed and the westbound US60 on-ramp at Alma School Road closed.
Traffic can detour along northbound Price Freeway frontage road. Expect heavy traffic. Drivers also can consider using northbound Dobson Road or McClintock Drive. An alternate freeway route includes westbound Loop 202 Santan Freeway to westbound I-10, northbound SR 143 and eastbound Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway to reach Loop 101 beyond the closure.
Real-time highway conditions are available on ADOT’s Arizona Traveler Information site at az511.gov, by calling 511 and through ADOT’s Twitter feed, @ArizonaDOT. When a freeway closure or other major traffic event occurs, ADOT's free app available at ADOTAlerts.com will send critical information directly to app users in affected areas – where possible, in advance of alternate routes.
Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.
